Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a day shift position in Maine, requiring a ME or compact RN license and critical care background.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital emergency department setting
Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
13-week assignment
Care for a full spectrum of emergency cases, including patients in a dedicated Chest Pain Center
Responsible for direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in all areas of the emergency department
Duties include initial and ongoing assessments, administering IV medications, therapies, and blood products, and patient education
Required to comprehensively document care, teaching, observations, and patient responses
Separate pay rates may apply for local candidates

Requirements

Active ME or compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience required
Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Cannot have any previous employment with St. Mary’s
Travelers with adverse actions on license or background will not be considered
