Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a dual modality CT/Xray Technologist with an active VA license and strong IV skills for weekend 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a health center setting focusing on CT and X-ray imaging
• Primary assignment at Oakville Health Center with possible coverage at Inova Alexandria Hospital
• Perform CT and X-ray studies including heads, abdomen, pelvis, angiography, extremities, chest (portable), and routine exams
• Typical caseload ranges from 0 to 15 studies per day, with up to 22 exams on rare occasions
• Uses Epic EMR, Fuji PACS, Visage, GE CT unit, and Philips X-ray unit
• 12-hour shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• No call requirements and holidays are worked into the regular schedule
• Floor-specific orientation provided at start of assignment
• Duties include performing and documenting CT and X-ray procedures while maintaining high imaging quality
• Expect to fill in for open shifts as needed by the department
• All black scrubs are required
• Team members receive orientation tailored to assigned floors
• No on-call or major holiday staffing required beyond regular weekend schedule

Requirements

• Active VA state radiologic technologist license required for consideration
• ARRT(CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years experience in CT and X-ray highly preferred
• Proficiency in IV insertion and contrast administration
• Experience with Epic EMR and Fuji PACS preferred
• License required if applicable
