Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a compact or Ohio RN license and 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day/night shifts (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am), rotation based on operational needs
• Care for adult medical-surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Uses ECG rhythm monitoring equipment
• Epic EMR experience is not specified as required or preferred
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety (safeMedicate) tests during orientation
• Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic location cannot exceed 18 consecutive months and require a 6-month wait before a new assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location
• Required to work every other holiday as scheduled
• Two references are needed for consideration

Requirements

• Active permanent Ohio or compact RN license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele RN experience prior to travel assignments
• Recent 18 months of MS/Tele experience; travel experience counts
• Acceptable scores required on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
