Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position in California requiring a CA RN license and at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab setting within an acute care hospital
• Caseload of 8-12 patients per day
• Perform coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as permanent pacemaker insertions
• Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week (6:30 to 19:00)
• Weekend and call requirements apply
• No floating required within the lab; however, all travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state if needed
• Epic EMR use during assignment
• Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab assignments
• Responsibilities include assisting with coronary interventions, peripheral procedures, and pacemaker placements
• 30 hours of orientation provided at the beginning of the assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be requested and approved at the time of consideration
• Free parking is provided on the first day, with additional assignment parking arranged during orientation
• Scrub color for Cath Lab is provided by the hospital
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• Active and valid CA RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must provide two supervisory references covering one year within the specialty within the last three years
• Previous permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
