Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current ARRT, Fluoro Permit, BLS, and ACLS certifications for a busy acute care hospital lab.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospital cath lab setting
Daily caseload ranges from 8 to 12 cases, including coronary artery and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as permanent pacemaker implantation
Day shifts, 4x10 hours, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with required call but no weekend shifts
No floating required within the facility, but travelers should expect to float within the state if needed
Uses Epic EMR; Epic charting experience required or preferred
Scrubs provided for cath lab staff
Primary procedures include coronary diagnostics and interventions for coronary artery disease, peripheral diagnostics and interventions, and permanent pacemakers
First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
A 30-hour orientation is provided at the start of the assignment
All requested time off must be approved at the time of consideration, and significant requests may impact selection
RTO requests after contract confirmation may be denied
Free parking provided on the first day, with assigned parking during orientation

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab technologist experience required
Current ARRT, Fluoro Permit (or proof of application if permit pending), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
RCIS certification not accepted
Ability to perform diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral vascular procedures as well as permanent pacemaker procedures
License required if applicable
