Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) with at least 2 years of recent US hospital experience and an active Texas OT license.

Responsibilities

• Full-time position with 8-hour shifts, schedule may vary based on coverage needs
• Work in a hospital setting as part of an interdisciplinary team
• No local candidates accepted; must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, and administration of treatment to patients
• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and develop age-appropriate care plans based on individual patient needs and physician referrals
• Accurately document patient treatments and respond effectively to changing work assignments
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care
• AHA certifications required; CPI training mandated by the facility
• Only candidates living more than 100 miles away from the facility are eligible

Requirements

• Active Texas Occupational Therapist license required; no pending licenses accepted
• Bachelor's degree from an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy program required; Master's degree highly desired
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a US hospital as an Occupational Therapist
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• CPI certification mandated by position
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required
• Two manager or supervisor references from the previous 12 months preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• SSN, driver's license, and copies of all certifications required for consideration
