Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT certification, and prior Level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care, Level 1 trauma setting within the CT department
• Department has 5 GE CT scanners
• Shifts available include 3x12 hour nights starting at 7pm or 3x12 hour days starting at 7am, with weekend rotation every 3rd weekend
• Patient population is high acuity and high volume due to trauma level
• No floating or holiday work required
• EMR system is Epic; prior Epic experience preferred
• Traveler is expected to independently start IVs
• Primary duties include performing basic CT scans in a busy trauma center
• Solid color scrubs with some prints are acceptable
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Department orientation typically provided within the first week
• Drug screening required for all panels as campus is drug-free
• COVID-19 vaccination is not a requirement for this role
• Local candidates may apply; local pay rate applies for permanent addresses within 50 miles

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent CT technologist experience in a fast-paced, high volume, Level 1 trauma environment
• Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
• IEMA credential required
• Experience with GE CT scanners preferred
• Must be able to start IVs independently
• Active Illinois state license required if applicable
• All required licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration
