Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department night shift position requiring an active IL RN license and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care setting
- 30-bed unit with 27 medical beds and 3 ED psych beds
- Level 2 Trauma Center, Level 2 Stroke Center, and Chest Pain accredited facility
- Full treatment center for sexual assault survivors
- Average patient census of 100-140 patients per day
- Assignments use POD nursing model
- Shifts are 12 hours during evenings and nights
- Uses Allscripts for electronic medical records
- Role involves caring for a diverse patient population including medical, psychiatric, trauma, and sexual assault cases
- Staffing levels are adjusted according to patient census
- Must be able to start as soon as possible
- No BSN required for consideration
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- TNS certification also accepted
- Experience with Allscripts EMR preferred
