Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with Cath Lab or EP experience and a current SC or compact license for a contract requiring weekend call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based Cath Lab setting
Options for Monday–Friday schedule: five 8-hour shifts (8am–4:30pm) or four 10-hour shifts (8am–6pm)
On-call required for 1 to 2 weekends per month, with the expectation that candidates live within 30 minutes of the facility for STEMI response
No floating to other units required
Patients include those requiring PCI, Shockwave, CSI, Impella insertion, and balloon pump procedures
Uses Epic and MAC Lab for charting—Epic experience is preferred
Radiation badge required and must be provided by the agency
Hospital-issued scrubs provided
Responsibilities include circulating during advanced cardiac and vascular procedures and responding to STEMI calls
Preferred skills: experience with scrub, circulate, and monitor roles, tilt table studies, cardioversion, vascular (carotid/peripheral), PFA, Watchman, and EP procedures such as monitoring, pacing, and ablation
All RTO requests must be included at time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs
First-time travelers with sufficient Cath Lab or EP experience will be considered
Free staff parking is available
Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed

Requirements

Active SC or compact RN license in hand prior to start
Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
At least 1 year of recent Cath Lab or EP RN experience required
Experience with circulating, Cath Lab procedures including PCI, Shockwave, CSI, Impella insertion, and balloon pump required
SSN and driver's license required for consideration
Must live more than 60 miles from the facility—local candidates are not accepted
Previous MUSC permanent or PRN employees must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
