Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on night shifts requiring a current MI RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Position is based in a hospital Medical Surgical Combination unit
Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week assignment
Duties include caring for a diverse medical and surgical patient population
All new travelers are welcome if minimum requirements are met
Specific LifePoint Candidate Submission Form must be completed for consideration

Requirements

Active MI RN license required
Minimum of 2 years' Med/Surg RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required (RQI certifications are not accepted)
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Permanent address must be at least 60 miles from the facility
Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
COVID-19 vaccination card required for consideration
Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
