Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Observation Unit position in Michigan requiring a current MI RN license and at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Work in an Observation Unit specializing in chest pain and critical decision cases
Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
13-week assignment
Position does not accept local candidates within 60 miles of the facility
Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Must not be employed full time elsewhere
Nursys licensure must be active at time of consideration

Requirements

Active Michigan RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
COVID-19 vaccination card required
RQI certifications are not accepted

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
