Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Observation Unit night shift position in Michigan, requiring a current MI RN license and at least two years of experience.

Responsibilities

Work in the Observation Unit focused on chest pain and critical decision patients
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week contract assignment
Patient population includes observation and chest pain cases
Candidates cannot have a permanent address within 60 miles of the facility
Must not have been employed as permanent staff at any Lifepoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed full time elsewhere during assignment
First time travelers are accepted

Requirements

Active MI RN license required
Minimum of 2 years RN experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
RQI certifications are not accepted
Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration
COVID vaccination card required

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
