Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced with GE equipment and ARRT certification for weekend night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based setting serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department populations
- Responsibilities include performing CT scans and general radiographic examinations
- Fast-paced environment with independent work expected
- Shifts are 12-hour weekend blocked nights (Friday to Sunday, 7 pm to 7 am)
- Use GE CT equipment
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Role includes performing CT imaging, intravenous contrast injections, and maintaining radiation safety per regulations
- Technologist is responsible for preparing, cleaning, and maintaining equipment and scanning areas
- Engages in patient and family education about procedures
- Supports clerical documentation and maintains competency standards according to department and federal guidelines
- May be required to cover at other facilities within the market and participate in rotating emergency call
- Expected to assist team members and support skill development of students, trainees, or residents
- Adherence to professional conduct, compassion, and high standards of patient care is essential
- Must attend departmental staff meetings and in-service training as required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year CT experience required, with 2 years preferred
- Active ARRT certification and BLS required
- VA Radiology License and CT Registered ARRT required
- Experience operating GE CT equipment required
- Degree in Radiologic Sciences or closely related field required
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- License required if applicable
