Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT and CT credentials to perform diagnostic and interventional CT procedures in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the radiology department of a hospital
• Work involves both diagnostic and interventional CT procedures for patients across all age groups
• Uses multiple CT systems and associated support technologies including HIS, RIS, PACS, and teleradiography
• Shift is 1900 to 0730 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with 12-hour shifts
• Patient confidentiality and interdisciplinary communication are emphasized
• 50-mile radius restriction for eligibility and local candidates are not accepted
• Performs quality CT imaging using proper techniques and technical factors
• Practices sterile technique and radiation safety at all times
• Maintains and disinfects equipment, and reports malfunctions as needed
• Coordinates and communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Participates in departmental quality initiatives and continuing education
• Assists with orientation and training of new staff and students
• Dress code, orientation details, and holiday coverage expectations will be provided at assignment start

Requirements

• Graduate of a radiologic technology program
• ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT (CT) certification required or must be obtained within 24 months of hire
• Valid NE radiographer license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network
• Proficiency in CT positioning, technical factors, radiation safety, and venipuncture
• Experience with PACS and related medical imaging systems
• Ability to provide care for patients across the lifespan
