Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent IR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit within the hospital
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 7:00am–5:30pm, with rotation on the IR late team (8:00am–6:30pm)
- Includes weekday and rotating weekend call requirements
- Floating within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
- Weekend work may be required as part of call schedule
- No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts allowed
- Must participate in a clinical review to determine clinical fit as part of the hiring process
- Travel pairs are not permitted to be assigned to the same shift in the same unit
- A maximum of 7 days of RTO allowed during assignment; holiday RTO rules apply
- If one or two major holidays fall during assignment period, holiday coverage is required
- If three major holidays occur, must be available to work two; one holiday RTO may be reviewed for approval
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day
- Compliance with orientation and onboarding requirements is mandatory in order to start on time
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- A minimum of 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
- Current copies of all pertinent certifications must be provided
- Must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 full year to return as a traveler
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
