Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I Trauma ER experience and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department
• Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 to 19:00
• Every other weekend required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assignment area
• Care for high acuity trauma patients independently in the Trauma Bay
• Use of Epic EMR system is required
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted
• Responsible for managing acute trauma and emergency patients autonomously
• Study guides and orientation materials are available online prior to start
• Smoke-free facility
• Proof of vaccination required with no declinations allowed
• Orientation includes tips to pass required clinical testing
• Local candidates receive a lower rate
• Online orientation is required prior to first shift

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
• 3-5 years recent Level I Trauma ER experience required
• Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school or institution approved by FBON, with at least 2 years recent consecutive US acute care experience within the past 24 months
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass EKG and dysrhythmia assessments prior to starting
