Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I Trauma ER experience and Epic proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level I Trauma Emergency Department
- Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 to 19:00
- Every other weekend required
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 4:1 or 5:1 depending on assignment area
- Care for high acuity trauma patients independently in the Trauma Bay
- Use of Epic EMR system is required
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted
- Responsible for managing acute trauma and emergency patients autonomously
- Study guides and orientation materials are available online prior to start
- Smoke-free facility
- Proof of vaccination required with no declinations allowed
- Orientation includes tips to pass required clinical testing
- Local candidates receive a lower rate
- Online orientation is required prior to first shift
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
- 3-5 years recent Level I Trauma ER experience required
- Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school or institution approved by FBON, with at least 2 years recent consecutive US acute care experience within the past 24 months
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass EKG and dysrhythmia assessments prior to starting
