Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a day shift position in New York requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 17:30
• Specializes in perioperative care of surgical patients
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing required for ICU units; not applicable for OR
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination, and missed shifts must be made up within 6 weeks
• RTO (time off) must be requested at the time of application
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
• Applicants may only submit to one position within this facility at a time
• Only medical exemptions for the flu vaccine will be accepted; personal or religious declinations are not permitted

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience required
• Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience required; candidates without prior Epic experience will not be considered
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration; Canadian SINs not accepted
• Flu vaccination is required unless a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is provided
• Candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties are not eligible
