Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring BLS (AHA) and ARRT or SCRQSA Radiologic Technologist certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital imaging department specializing in CT scans
• Night shifts, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 8-week contract term, 4 shifts per week totaling 40 hours
• Call required one or two times every 6 weeks for 16-24 hours
• Floating to sister hospitals may be required
• Uses Cerner EMR for charting
• Produce CT images following established protocols under the supervision of radiologists
• Instruct and prepare patients for imaging procedures and assist with informed consent
• Supervise student technologists as assigned
• Follow safety and infection control standards, including radiation safety guidelines
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, and radiation common in the healthcare setting
• Annual in-services and current licensure maintenance required
• All travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year, then must take a 30-60 day break before returning
• Dress code and additional department-specific policies may apply

Requirements

• Registered in Radiologic Technology by ARRT or SCRQSA Radiographer Certification
• ARRT CT certification preferred
• Minimum of one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
• Current American Heart Association BLS required
• High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Allied Health Professional school preferred
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift/move patients frequently
• License required if applicable
• No local candidates within 50 miles radius
