Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Emergency Department Float position requiring recent Level 1 trauma experience and specialized certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Department Float Pool at a hospital
- Primarily assigned to the Emergency Department with possible floating to acute care units as needed
- Level 1 trauma facility with a very busy ED environment
- Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- Must be prepared to provide emergency care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- May occasionally be asked to float to other acute care units based on facility needs
- Experience with hospital EMR systems should be included on the resume
- Daytime schedule with no on-call is ideal for those seeking work-life balance
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar sized Level 1 trauma facility ED
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
- Demonstrated Emergency Department skills and recent applicable references
- Resume must show no unexplained gaps in employment
