Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift Emergency Department Float position requiring recent Level 1 trauma experience and specialized certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department Float Pool at a hospital
• Primarily assigned to the Emergency Department with possible floating to acute care units as needed
• Level 1 trauma facility with a very busy ED environment
• Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must be prepared to provide emergency care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• May occasionally be asked to float to other acute care units based on facility needs
• Experience with hospital EMR systems should be included on the resume
• Daytime schedule with no on-call is ideal for those seeking work-life balance

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar sized Level 1 trauma facility ED
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and TNCC
• Demonstrated Emergency Department skills and recent applicable references
• Resume must show no unexplained gaps in employment
