Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and required certifications to work in a dynamic cath lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital cath lab environment
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Patient population includes cardiac and vascular intervention cases
• Procedures include LHC, RHC, balloon pumps, temporary and permanent pacemaker/defibrillator placement, pericardial effusion, STEMI call, and a variety of interventional radiology procedures
• Required skills include circulating and administering conscious sedation
• Equipment used includes Acist injector, Siemens and Philips C-arms, Medrad power injector, Rotopro, Diamondback, IVUS, OCT, Shock wave, Rampart, Pneumbra, and Inari
• Cerner EMR is utilized for charting
• Floating within the hospital and to affiliated hospitals may be required
• Responsibilities include supporting cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology procedures as needed
• All travelers expected to float within the facility or to a nearby affiliate when required
• RTO of up to 5 days may be auto-approved
• Candidates must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Scrubs are provided according to facility requirements
• Local candidates are accepted for periop surgical services and allied health positions
• Former permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before returning as a traveler

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent cath lab experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of experience
• Valid ARRT or RCIS certification required
• Current ACLS and BCLS certifications required; AHA or RQI accepted
• Candidate must have an IN or Compact license in hand if applicable
• Circulate and conscious sedation competency required
• Must have graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university
• Experience with Cerner charting required
