Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a current MO or compact license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a community hospital on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15
• Patient ratio is 1:5 on a 240-bed unit with a 16-bed ICU
• Care for post-cath patients and general med/surg telemetry cases
• EPIC charting is used in this facility
• Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
• Requires 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, including Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide care to med/surg telemetry and post-cath patients
• Navy scrubs are required
• Must be willing to work holiday shifts and perform Charge RN duties as needed
• A maximum of 7 requested days off is allowed

• Drug screening must be passed without dilution or positive results to begin assignment
• No travel partners are accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• At least 2 years of recent specialty experience with no more than a 90-day employment gap in the past year
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience within the last 12 months
• Experience monitoring telemetry on the unit required
• Must provide two professional references, including one from a supervisor or above and one from a charge RN, both from the past year
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No pending licenses accepted for consideration
