Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Burn/Surgical ICU position requiring an active MA RN license and prior ICU and travel nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Burn/Surgical ICU, caring for adult complex surgical and critically ill medical patients
- Thermal burn patients make up less than 10% of the caseload
- Work within a closed ICU model with a dedicated multidisciplinary team
- 36-hour work week with day and night rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Care provided using the Epic EMR system
- Work with a team of APPs, surgical teams, consultants, and 24/7 in-house attending ICU physicians
- All patients are managed by a coordinated multidisciplinary team
- Local candidates must have a permanent residence at least 60 miles from the hospital
- No pending MA licenses accepted for consideration
- Parking is not validated and public transportation or paid public parking is available
Requirements
- Active MA RN license is required; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- At least 1 year of travel experience is required
- Primary license verification through NURSYS and Board of Nursing is required
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no religious or medical exemptions
