Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a MA license and advanced surgical services skills for a 13-week assignment.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the operating room of a hospital surgical services department
- Provides care across a range of specialties including general, gynecology, genitourinary, oral, otolaryngology, bariatrics, orthopedics, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine
- Staffed in 17 operating rooms with 24/7 coverage
- 12-hour mid shifts with a 36-hour workweek
- Required to work every third weekend and every other holiday
- One on-call shift per schedule
- May float to other OR locations as needed
- Responsible for circulating and scrubbing in a variety of complex surgical procedures
- Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test must be passed prior to consideration, with a maximum of two attempts
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment required
- Scrubs are required for this environment
- Internal candidates and local candidates are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient OR RN experience required
- Level 1 trauma OR experience preferred
- Competency in at least 5 surgical specialties listed
- Scrub experience preferred
- Excellent communication and flexibility required
- Must provide two professional references, one from a manager level within the past year
