Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with NE or compact license, offering call responsibilities and Cerner EMR usage.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgery/Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Primary duties include OR Circulator, admitting and discharging patients, and recovery care
• Utilizes Omnicell and computerized charting with Cerner EMR
• Unit consists of 2 operating rooms
• Eight-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, typically 0700-1530
• Minimum of one weekday call shift per week
• On-call required one weekend every third or fourth week, subject to facility needs
• No floating required
• Responsibilities include circulating in the OR, patient admissions, discharges, and assisting in recovery
• On-the-job orientation and training provided
• Dress code requires scrubs
• Employee may occasionally work alone
• Call requirements can be adjusted based on facility needs

Requirements

• Valid NE or compact state RN license without restrictions
• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program
• Current certifications required: CPR, ACLS, and PALS (PALS may be pending at start)
• NRP certification preferred
• Operating room nursing experience required
