Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical night shift position requiring a CA RN license and two years of recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required
• Floating to other units and hospital campuses may be required within RN scope of practice
• A shuttle is provided if floating between campuses is necessary
• No on-call responsibilities
• Responsible for overall management and delivery of patient care from admission to discharge
• Plans and coordinates care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes
• Acts as liaison between nursing, medical staff, and patient families to facilitate care
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing the employment agreement
• Only one holiday request for time off (RTO) will be approved per contract

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Minimum of two years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience
• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule for eligibility
• Former staff must have been gone for at least one year before returning as a traveler
