Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU night shift assignment, requiring at least 24 months of current ICU experience and valid MD or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 12-hour shifts
- Weekend and on-call schedules to be determined by the facility
- Patient population includes critically ill adults
- Requires effective use of computer programs
- Responsible for developing and implementing nursing plans of care and evaluating outcomes
- Expected to demonstrate excellent patient experience and service recovery skills
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- RTO (time off) requests may not exceed 5 days
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license at time of consideration
- Minimum of 24 months current ICU nursing experience required
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Must complete NIHSS via NIHStrokeScale.org within 48 hours of offer if not already certified
- COVID vaccine required, declinations not accepted
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills required
