Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med-Surg position in acute care, requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least three years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting on an adult Med-Surg and Observation unit
• Patient population includes acute and chronic illnesses, post-orthopedic surgery, and patients undergoing Hybrid Cath Lab procedures
• 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation
• On-call required: one call shift per two-week period as needed
• Must be willing to float to Intermediate Care/CCU if needed
• Responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating patient treatment, and utilizing specialized knowledge of critical disease states
• May be required to provide Intermediate Care in CCU based on patient needs
• Team-oriented environment with growing census due to seasonal increase in procedures and surgeries
• Traveler housing options are available in remodeled, furnished apartments located near the hospital, subject to availability

Requirements

• Active RN license for Colorado or a compact state
• At least three years of Med-Surg RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• At least two years of recent acute care, Med-Surg, or telemetry RN experience
• Proof of flu vaccination is required with no exemptions allowed
• Permanent residence must be at least 75 miles from the facility
