Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float position requiring MS/Tele, cardiac tele, and ER holding experience, as well as a compact or MD RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting with float responsibilities across Med/Surg, IMC, MS/Tele, and ED Boarder units
• Night shift schedule with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (1900-0730)
• Required to work every third weekend
• Care for diverse patient populations including med/surg, intermediate care, telemetry, and ED boarder patients
• Float assignments to ED to care for boarder patients and to inpatient units as needed
• Must be able to float as needed to multiple units, including ED for boarder patients
• Night shift role with every third weekend required
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered

Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years relevant RN experience
• Prior MS/Tele and cardiac telemetry nursing experience required
• ER holding experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred
