Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in a Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring an AZ or compact RN license and multiple certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy Emergency Department within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Level I trauma facility with a typical patient ratio of 4:1 based on acuity
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend requirements include working every other weekend
• Charting is done using Cerner EMR
• No floating or on-call responsibilities
• RNs may wear any scrub color
• Position is open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates are accepted
• Adherence to quality and patient safety standards is expected, including medication administration using BCMA
• Free parking provided on site
• All time off requests require unit manager approval before the start of assignment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience preferred; candidates with less experience will be considered
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
