Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in a Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring an AZ or compact RN license and multiple certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a busy Emergency Department within a short-term acute care teaching hospital
- Level I trauma facility with a typical patient ratio of 4:1 based on acuity
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
- Weekend requirements include working every other weekend
- Charting is done using Cerner EMR
- No floating or on-call responsibilities
- RNs may wear any scrub color
- Position is open to first-time travelers
- Local candidates are accepted
- Adherence to quality and patient safety standards is expected, including medication administration using BCMA
- Free parking provided on site
- All time off requests require unit manager approval before the start of assignment
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact state RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience preferred; candidates with less experience will be considered
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
