Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel contract at a Level I Trauma, academic medical center in St. Louis, MO, requiring Siemens scanner experience and ARRT-CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 356-bed non-profit, academic, and research medical center providing tertiary care for the east Missouri region
• Level I Trauma Center and comprehensive stroke facility affiliated with a major university school of medicine
• All Siemens CT scanners (ED, Inpatient, ICU, and Outpatient), purchased new in 2020 with identical protocols — all ACR-accredited
• Patient populations include ED, inpatient, ICU, and outpatient adult settings
• Procedures include CT of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, vascular CTA, brain perfusion, myelography, biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and more
• Epic EMR used on-site (preferred, not required)
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday
• No floating outside of scope required
• Complimentary onsite parking garage available

• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as a traveler must take a 6-month break before returning — travelers cannot work past 1 year in a consecutive travel assignment at this facility
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; additional requests after confirmation are at the manager's discretion
• Pending license acceptance is at the manager's discretion
• A pre-start online orientation module (approximately 1 hour for allied clinicians) is required and completed prior to the start date
• Fit testing is required — candidates must be clean-shaven for a proper mask seal; CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and personal devices are not permitted on-site
• Local candidates (within 70 miles of the facility) are not accepted for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• Active ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications required; BLS required
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience required
• Siemens CT scanner experience required
• Proficiency with PACS systems required
• Skills should include contrast media preparation and/or administration and starting peripheral IVs
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable
