Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and both echo and vascular registries for a 13-week travel contract.

Responsibilities

• Work setting includes adult acute care, adult outpatient, ED, and ICU environments
• Performs vascular and echocardiography ultrasound studies across multiple patient care areas
• Skills include Adult Echo, M-Mode, TEE, Treadmill and Pharmacologic Stress Echo, Bubble Study, Contrast Imaging, Portable Studies, RVIT/RVOT, and 3D Echo (preferred)
• Equipment used includes GE and Toshiba ultrasound systems and PACS
• Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• On-call required Monday through Sunday
• Performs a full range of vascular and cardiac ultrasound studies including TEE, stress echo, contrast imaging, portable studies, and EKG/ECG acquisition
• Previous charge experience is preferred
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions — this includes CBD products
• Required lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting an offer

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound and echocardiography
• Both echo and vascular registries required; credentials accepted through ARDMS or CCI (e.g., RDCS, RVT, CCI RCS, CCI RVS)
• Current BLS and ACLS required
• Experience performing procedures on patients in ICU and ED settings
• Proficiency with GE and Toshiba ultrasound equipment and PACS
• Travel experience preferred
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
• License required if applicable
