Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (WICU) position at a prestigious academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience and a night shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Weinberg ICU (WICU) is a 20-bed adult Surgical ICU within the Department of Surgery
- Diverse patient population including Trauma, GI Surgery, Ortho/Neuro Spine, Transplant, Vascular, Surgical ENT, and General Surgery
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Floating required to areas of like skill set as needed
- Epic EMR used (experience preferred)
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current, strong Surgical ICU experience required
- Experience in a large academic or comparable facility (500+ bed count) required
- Critical Care Certification preferred
- Trauma course completion preferred
- Prior travel assignment experience preferred (2 previous assignments)
