Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a surgical IMC/PCU unit position at a large academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and IMC/PCU background.

Responsibilities

• Work setting is a large academic medical center (500+ bed facility) on a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic Intermediate Care (IMC) unit
• Unit provides multiple levels of care including adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
• Patient population includes pre- and post-operative surgical, urology, and thoracic patients receiving bedside surgical care
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Floating required to areas of like skill set within the 11 West IMC and Med/Surg levels
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
• Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care within an intermediate care setting
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate

Requirements

• Active RN license — Maryland (MD) or Compact state license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current RN experience required
• IMC or PCU nursing experience required
• Dysrhythmia management experience required
• Experience at a 500+ bed facility required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 1–2 prior travel assignments preferred
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration
