Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical/Urology/Thoracic IMC unit (Zayed 11 West) position requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience and PCU/IMC background, working night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Intermediate Care (IMC) level surgical unit specializing in Surgical, Urology, and Thoracic patients
- Multi-level care environment encompassing adult inpatient acute, telemetry, and intermediate care with continuous vital sign monitoring and some advanced monitoring
- Pre- and post-operative bedside surgical care provided on the unit
- Dysrhythmia management is required as part of daily patient care
- Epic EMR used; prior experience is preferred
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Floating required as needed to areas of like skill set within 11 West (IMC and Med/Surg levels)
- Orientation takes place on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
- Prior travel experience (1–2 assignments) is preferred but not required
- This is a high-acuity academic medical center environment; strong, well-qualified candidates are encouraged to apply
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of current RN experience
- PCU/IMC clinical experience required
- Surgical patient care experience required
- Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required
- Dysrhythmia management competency required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required for consideration
