Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of hospital CT experience to work in a main facility ER setting using a Siemens CT scanner in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the main facility's emergency department
• Primary equipment includes a Siemens CT scanner
• 12-hour shifts scheduled Sunday through Tuesday with every other Saturday
• Approximately 5 to 6 call shifts per month
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Operate CT and radiographic equipment, analyze body habitus to adjust technical factors, and produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Position patients correctly and review physician orders to obtain pertinent clinical data
• Assist physicians during procedures including room preparation, supply management, and response to contrast reactions and codes
• Schedule and complete exams and enter correct charge codes
• POC Lab training will be provided on-site
• Certifications must be from AHA only

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in a US hospital setting
• ARRT certification required
• Competency in X-ray required
• Texas Medical Board (TMB) license required if applicable
• AHA BLS certification required
• CPI certification required
• Active license required — no pending licenses accepted
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
