Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a 450-bed Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of mammography experience and MQSA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Works in a dedicated Mammography unit within a 450-bed Level II Trauma Center
• Performs general mammography screenings with a target throughput of 31 screenings within a 12-hour shift
• The traveler will be the sole mammography tech providing this service and must be able to work independently
• Uses Epic EMR
• Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), working Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday
• Every Saturday and Sunday is required
• No on-call requirements
• No float requirements
• Perform general mammography screenings for a Level II Trauma Center patient population
• Must be able to independently manage a high-volume mammography caseload
• Caribbean blue scrubs required per Valley Health dress code policy

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience
• Must be proficient in mammography and MQSA compliant
• BLS certification required (AHA only; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date)
• ARRT certification required
• VA license required if applicable
• Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible
• US SSN required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
