Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT CT Registry and 2+ years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a critical access hospital in Spruce Pine, NC.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CT Scan department of a 25-bed critical access hospital with a 12-bed ER
• Multi-modality imaging department staffed by technologists covering CT, X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and nuclear medicine
• Night shift staffing consists of 1 multi-modality (CT/X-ray) tech, with an ultrasound tech available on call
• Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and emergency patients of all ages
• Procedures include CT studies without and with contrast, whole body scans, and Code Stroke with perfusion
• Equipment includes GE Optima and GE Tempo scanners
• EMR is Cerner (via Citrix); imaging uses Philips PACS
• Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• No on-call required
• 13-week contract
• Perform CT imaging across a diverse case mix including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency studies for patients of all ages
• Solid black scrubs required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Requirements

• ARRT CT Registry required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• 2+ years of CT technologist experience preferred; allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in this role
• Active license required if applicable
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Professional reference(s) required for consideration — Florida and Missouri candidates must provide two references; all other states require one
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
