Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an inpatient rehab role at a Level III trauma hospital in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Large 450-bed acute care hospital with a typical census of approximately 360 patients, spanning 7 floors of therapy coverage
• Inpatient rehabilitation unit serving ortho, neuro, oncology, post-op spine, general med/surg, and ICU patients (medical, cardiac, and surgical)
• Level III trauma hospital setting
• Staffing includes 8-10 PTs and 6-8 PTAs per day
• Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• 13-week contract
• Works closely with OT, speech therapy, and case management teams
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be auto-approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Active Texas PT license required; pending licensure accepted
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• License required if applicable
