Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in both Med/Surg and Telemetry, with day shifts and every other weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting with telemetry integrated on the Med/Surg floor
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required when census does not support maintaining on the unit
• On-call required when census does not support staffing needs
• Required skills include cardiac monitoring, emergency services, gastrointestinal, genitourinary/renal, IV therapy/phlebotomy, medication administration, neurological, orthopedics, plastics (surgical drains), and respiratory care
• Preferred skills include cardiovascular, endocrine/metabolic, oncology, and plastics
• 13-week contract
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must live beyond a 60-mile radius with no exceptions

Requirements

• Active MO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and SAFE (SAFE certification provided at the facility)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required in both Med/Surg and Telemetry
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two professional references required for consideration
• PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
