Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active RN licensure, with floating responsibilities to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• RTO is capped at 5 days per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout date requests will be accepted
• Local candidates are not accepted — permanent address must be outside the 75-mile radius from the facility

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required prior to start: BLS, ACLS, EKG/Telemetry, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required
• Utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address from within the last 3 months required for consideration
• Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration
• Copies of certifications required for consideration
