Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a multi-modality role in an acute care emergency and urgent care setting, requiring ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications and at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Acute care emergency and urgent care setting within the Radiology/CT & X-ray department
• Multi-modality unit performing both CT and plain film imaging
• Department equipment includes 1 CT scanner, 1 plain film unit, and 1 portable unit (Siemens CT; Carestream portable)
• Common studies include orthopedic portable imaging, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, and CTA
• Average of 10–15 scans/studies per day
• EMR: Epic; PACS: Synapse
• 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights; day shift 6:45 AM–6:45 PM, night shift 6:45 PM–6:45 AM
• Every other weekend required, or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• Self-scheduling available, though the manager may adjust the schedule to maintain balance
• Occasional floating to other locations is possible but unlikely
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include performing CT scans and plain film imaging, as well as supporting nursing staff
• Will be trained in and asked to assist with POC lab duties
• Orientation is 2 days on-site; clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation even if initial modules are remote
• A lead tech is present at each site; no in-house radiologist
• Candidates must provide their own radiation badge
• Gray scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
• One summer holiday and one winter holiday off are expected
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required; pending certifications not accepted
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• IV insertion experience preferred
• Proficiency with CT and plain film imaging required
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment preferred
• Epic and Synapse experience preferred
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rate; driver's license used to verify permanent address
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• License required if applicable
