Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring at least 18 months of permanent specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a large academic hospital in Cleveland, OH
• Day/night rotating shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Shift rotation may be adjusted based on operational needs, though preferred shifts will be honored when possible
• Oncology patient population with potential chemotherapy administration responsibilities for qualified candidates
• Two professional references are required
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required
• Chemotherapy administration training will be provided to qualified candidates interested in oncology care
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months at any Cleveland Clinic location, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning a new assignment at any Cleveland Clinic location

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Med/Surg Tele required prior to any travel assignments
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required (travel experience counts toward this requirement)
• One year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required
• A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration
