Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, AHA certifications, and an active MI RN license.

Responsibilities

• Medical ICU (MICU) unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift: 7pm–7am, 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• 13-week contract
• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education
• Communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team and participates in identifying and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to start date, typically 1 week before the assignment begins
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• RTO requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment; any requests made after an offer is accepted will need to be discussed with management once the assignment begins
• No logo profiles accepted for submission

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• BSN preferred
• Previous experience in a Trauma Level II facility preferred
• COVID vaccination required
