Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Mother/Baby unit night shift position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 2+ years of experience and a 4x12 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Mother/Baby unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours — non-negotiable (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend hours as required by the facility
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• EMR: Epic
• Mother/Baby patient population
• Utilizes the nursing process to provide individualized patient care and maintain professional accountability for assigned patients
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments and evaluates effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers
• Upholds patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with facility mission and values
• Required scrub color: black
• Up to 5 days of RTO allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts; after that, a minimum 1-year separation or reassignment outside the radius is required
• All certifications must be active at the time of consideration with no expirations within the first 30 days of the assignment unless renewal documentation is provided

Requirements

• Active OK RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent Mother/Baby or L&D nursing experience
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required — Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months
