Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Step-Down Unit position requiring prior travel experience and night shift availability in Tyler, TX.
Responsibilities
- Step-Down Unit in a hospital setting
- 22-bed unit with a patient ratio of up to 1:6
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- 13-week contract
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Candidates residing in the following TX counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups will not be considered
- RTO of no more than 3 days may be approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
Requirements
- Active TX or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and SAMA
- Minimum 1–2 years of Step-Down or comparable RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
