Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a Level II Trauma, comprehensive stroke center facility, requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications with night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry unit
• Comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with capability for complex PCI and open-heart surgery patient care
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
• Epic EMR used; experience preferred
• 13-week contract
• No travel pairs or groups accepted for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• First-time travelers: check with your recruiter regarding eligibility for this position

Requirements

• Active ID or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
