Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PACU position in Fort Worth, TX, requiring at least 2 years of experience, an active TX RN license, and on-call availability including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Hospital PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting
- Day shift schedule, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract with potential for permanent conversion
- Patient ratio of 2:1
- On-call required, including on-call weekends
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Conduct clinical assessments and manage individualized patient care plans using the nursing process
- Delegate tasks to appropriate healthcare personnel in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act
- Facilitate patient and family education throughout the care continuum
- Collaborate interdependently with the healthcare team to deliver integrated patient care
- Navy scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local travelers are not accepted
- Candidates who have previously worked as a permanent employee at any Baylor facility may have restricted eligibility
Requirements
- Active TX RN license (or compact license with TX authorization) required
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- PACU or post-surgical recovery experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Date of birth and SSN required for consideration
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions accepted
