Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Oncology/GYN Surgical unit, requiring at least 1 year of med/surg acute care experience and an active NY RN license.
Details
- 34-bed Medical Oncology/GYN Surgical inpatient unit with an adjacent 2-chair outpatient infusion room
- Patient population includes a wide variety of medical and surgical oncology cases, complex GYN surgeries, and med/surg overflow
- Approximately 6 outpatient infusions administered daily
- Proficiency required in managing central lines, various drains, dressing changes, Tenhoff catheters, and PleurX catheters
- Frequent administration of blood product transfusions
- Charting via Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted NY RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of med/surg acute care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Oncology and/or chemotherapy experience preferred
- Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the last year required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months required for consideration
Additional Information
- Unit culture emphasizes professionalism, teamwork, and compassionate patient care
- Any color scrubs are acceptable
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
