Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an IMC/PCU position requiring at least 2 years of experience including 1 year of travel nursing, with critical care and telemetry backgrounds and active Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU) unit in a hospital setting with 24 staffed beds and a consistently high daily census
• Telemetry and critical care patient population
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• Candidate's permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from this health system for at least 1 year to be eligible
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout dates may be requested
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position — at least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience is required

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and completion of an EKG/Telemetry course
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Current critical care and telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address from within the last 3 months are required for consideration
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration
• Copies of all certifications required for consideration
