Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a CT Scan department, requiring ARRT(R) certification, Illinois IEMA licensure, and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• CT Scan department within an acute care hospital setting
• Performs CT and diagnostic radiographic procedures on patients of all ages
• 3x12-hour day shifts, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Performs and films CT and radiographic procedures, deviating from standard routines when patient condition or radiologist request requires
• Assists radiologist with invasive procedures including sterile tray setup, catheter and guidewire handling, lab orders, and pathology test scheduling
• Performs patient bedside lab testing and associated quality control per medical provider orders and hospital policies
• Accurately completes all fields in PACS and radiology system, including contrast reaction documentation and exam data entry
• Responsible for maintaining equipment safety checks, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean work area
• Coordinates and maintains patient flow, including transporting patients to and from the department as needed
• Participates in training and mentoring of fellow technologists and students
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the contract
• Travelers who have been on continuous assignment for 1 year at the health system must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within that system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant CT technologist experience
• ARRT(R) certification required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography – Illinois IEMA required (license required if applicable)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Associate's degree or certificate of completion in Radiologic Technology required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
